Faculty Services
This spring, select Writing Center tutors will take part in a study exploring the integration of AI tools into tutoring sessions. This research seeks to enhance writing instruction, improve student learning outcomes, and advance tutoring practices. If you offer extra credit or require Writing Center appointments and prefer your students not to work with participating tutors, kindly communicate this to your students.
Participating tutors: Richard Lassiter (MFA Candidate), Luke Circle (MA Candidate), Morgan Gosdin (B.S. in Psychology Candidate), and Ziv Moench (B.S. in Environmental Science Candidate).
Class Visits
Writing Center representatives will visit your class for 30 minutes for a brief presentation about the services that are offered in the Writing Center. This presentation can be tailored to your specific class and discipline, or it can be a general overview of services offered to all students, regardless of major or class.
Assignment Review
The Writing Center invites GCSU faculty from any discipline to submit an assignment to our student review service. Both undergraduate and graduate Writing Center Consultants will review your assignment for clarity and consistency, then offer feedback from the student perspective.
